New Digitally Flocked Cashmere Jumper ranges…..

February 4th, 2010

Just a little reminder deadline for the first competition is Friday26th so get busy and good luck!

Plain and Pattern range

I have been working on a new range of cashmere jumpers using digital flock but unlike my previous collection these designs can be reproduces however as the jumpers are vintage the style and colour could be slightly different.  They are very luxurious and different but extremely wearable.  I love the contrast between the history and vintage quality of the cashmere against the high tech digital flock prints.  This range is made up of floral swirls and pattern with tonal and patterened digital flock print,Take a look and tell me what you think?

Check Out the range. New Digital Flock cashmere range

CAD Advice and Tutoring

Just thought I would post a little picture of myself  Natalie Adamson-Wain I only write this as I dont think I actually have my name on any part of my website and realised from reading a few blogs that people wanted to know who I was so this is me in black and white of course much more flattering than colour hello……..

If anyone needs any advice on CAD photoshop or Illustrator or maybe you would like an hours tutoring to answer those questions and gain help with anything that holds you back drop me a line with what you want to know,or when you want to be tutored and I will get back to you asap.

My studio which is based outside Glasgow gives me lots of inspiration for my designs.  It is based in an idyllic setting surrounded by countryside and wildlife, which I love .  I collect and hoard anything that inspires me from tins to ornaments, vintage clothes, fabrics, buttons you name it I have probably got it. I love to search around second hand and vintage shops but also love new modern boutiques and design.  My collections are a fusion of old and new which is what inspires me.

Check out the student and graduate section for must visit shops and treasures…
studio Gallery
My studio looks messy but I call it organized caos as I know exactly where everything is.

Another Inspirational setting for me is my house,I love to collect vintage ornaments, china old and new and have a bit of a obsession for animal ornaments, the problem is I am running out of space to put them.  I love to be surrounded by things that I have collected and especially love things that are handed down through your family’s generations as they have a story behind them and are completely precious.

Latest collection-Whimsical white(Spring2010)

December 22nd, 2009

Whimsical White

My newest collection is part of the ‘nathalie’ range.  It is hand drawn and digitally printed but combines this with digital flock from my boutique collection,it adds a little bit more luxury to the designs but is still able to be re produced. These designs are placement prints and will be applied to cushions and canvas’s but watch out for the wallpaper range. This range allows the customer to order quantities of these designs but still have something very special and different.  This is the new spring range to get everyone in the mood for brighter and lighter weather…

About Me

I graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) and went on to work in textile studios in London, creating print and embroidered textile designs for clients such as Diesel, Juicy Couture, Abercrombie and Karen Millen (to name but a few).

While I was in London, I started my label 'Nathalie' and sold my designs in Spitalfields Market and in Carnaby Street. I then moved back to Scotland and set up my studio outside Glasgow.

I continue to work as a freelance designer and I also teach textile design at Heriot Watt University. My new range has been showcased at Glasgow's Lighthouse and is stocked by the madeintheshade shop in Glasgow's west end and also online at www.velvetboutique.co.uk
